Kent Group Racing Update (@ 11 July 2024)

Records

There have been several group records broken this year.

10 Miles: Kevin Tye has broken the 62 age record 5 times, and it currently stands at 19:04.  Mark has broken the 71 age trike record twice and it is now 24:21, while Colin Inett bettered the 83 age figure with a 29:07 

15 Miles:  Kevin Tye has set a new 62 age figure of 30:29

25 miles: Mark has broken the trike 71 age record twice and it is now 1:05:01

50 miles: Andy Meilak broke the 57 age record with a 1:44:26. Mark set new figures for Trike 71 with 2:21:31 and Shay Giles broke the 79 age record with a 2:27:35

Competitions

At this stage we have awarded the following trophies:

• Matthew Smith (Gemini BC) won the Mick Dansie Memorial 10 Trophy in the March Group 10 with 18:33 and.
• Andy Meilak (Velorefined Rule5) won the Robson 30 Trophy with AAT of 1:0:36
• Simon Henderson won the Aubrey Sheather Shield in the June 25 with an AAT of 53:42
• Kevin Tye (Velorefined Rule5)  won the Dave Wright Cup (16 June event) with an AAT of 18:30
