ENTRY ALERT! There are little more than two weeks to get your entries in for the 2025 VTTA National 10-Mile Championship in Scotland.
You have until April 13 to sign up to this event, which will see a packed field aiming to topple the times of 2024 champions Linda Dewhurst and Richard Oakes.
New champions look likely to be crowned in both the open and female categories, with Dewhurst not competing this time due to work commitments and Oakes likely to be riding abroad at the time of the event.
The 2025 event is organised by Royal Albert CC and VTTA Scotland and uses the WW10/03 course on the A78 dual carriageway from near Eglinton Country Park down to Meadowhead roundabout near Auchengate and back.
Last year Dewhurst (Ride Revolution Coaching) posted an impressive age adjusted time of 18-05, while Oakes (Team Ohten Aveas) took the open category with a time of 18-46 on AAT.
Awards will be given out on age adjusted times, with medals for the top three in the open and female categories, with the winners also receiving a championship jersey.
Team awards will also be made, to club teams where all three riders are first claim members of the same club, while there are also Group awards to teams of three who are in the same Group.
Tandem National Championship award will also receive gold medals, while the Ken Matthews Cup will go to the rider with the best age adjusted time regardless of whether they are in the open category or the female category.
To be eligible riders must be paid-up members of the VTTA at the closing date and have linked their online VTTA and CTT accounts.
Riders who are aged 39 but who will be 40 by the day of the Championships may apply to the organiser to be included, on condition that they have completed an online membership application before the day of the championship which the organiser can check.
