The VTTA and CTT Scotland have teamed up to hold a track day at the Caird Park Velodrome in Dundee on June 15, where riders can target an age record over five kilometres.
Caird Park is a great facility which is one of the reasons track cycling in Scotland is growing, and you can play a part in that by supporting what promises to be an enjoyable and fascinating day.
As well as targeting Scottish veterans records there are five prizes on offer for fastest open rider, fastest female, and top three on AAT (Age Adjusted Time).
Currently there is only one Scottish veterans age record at 5km, so a flood of new records is expected across the ages!
Riders will each have ten minutes alone on track to warm up, practice, and have a crack at setting a five-kilometre record. Entry is limited to 30 riders, so be sure to book your place early as it’s likely to sell out!
Entry is via the CTT website - CTT | CTT Scotland and VTTA Track Day 2025
All ages are welcome, but 20 places are reserved for veterans.
A result sheet with position order will be published in the normal way. Simply put it’s just like a road or closed circuit TT except the rider has the track to themselves which makes it safer and easier.
Riders can use a normal time trial bike or road bike on an outdoor track – you don’t need a track bike.
