The new VTTA Yorkshire Age Adjusted Points Competition, for over age 40 riders, has got off to a great start with 32 VTTA Yorkshire members having picked up points in the 2 events completed so far. It promises to offer very popular competitive opportunities on a wide variety of local courses, avoiding the need to travel and to seek out the fastest courses necessary in speed based competitions. It's all on the roads which we already know and love.

Qualifying events are all 13 YCF Points Competition events plus our 4 VTTA Yorkshire promoted events. As the weather warms up and racing becomes more attractive there are still plenty qualifying opportunities and as your best 6 rides will count it's now a good time to dive in. These are the 15 remaining events:

Whereas the YCF competition is open to all ages and rewards actual fastest with most points, the VTTA competition uses our age adjustment system to adjust your actual time by an allowance based on your age and gender. Points are awarded according to the adjusted times, so even if age is beginning to take its toll you can still remain competitive.

You will be included in the YCF competition if your club is a YCF member, but to be included in the VTTA age adjusted competition you must only be a member of VTTA Yorkshire. We currently have almost 200 members spread around the county; you are welcome to join us, it only costs £19, and you can do so be visiting vtta.org.uk
